As a biomedical scientist, Dennis received his PhD at the Dept of Periodontology and Biomaterials of the Radboud University in Nijmegen in collaboration with the Dept of Bioengineering of the Rice University, Houston, Texas, USA in 2008. He continued his research in bone tissue engineering as a post-doc at the 3B’s Research Group, Headquarters of the European Institute of Excellence on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, where he was also part of the TERMIS-SYIS EU Board in organizing symposia and activities related to young investigators and students, during TERMIS conferences and beyond. After his post-doc he switched in 2011 to industry as a product developer at European Medical Contract Manufacturing (EMCM) bv in Nijmegen where he developed a.o. allograft bone and collagen-based tissue engineered products, xenografts for dental applications and anti-adhesive gels. Next, he became a senior scientist at Osteo-Pharma bv in Oss, developing products for orthopedic and dental applications for the local treatment of bone fractures and bone defects. Subsequently, he started working at BioConnection in 2017 as a business development manager.

Currently Dennis is appointed as Director Business Development. In this assignment he will be prime contact for new clients where he connects biopharmaceutical companies to our state-of-the-art-GMP manufacturing facilities and broad range of support services. Together with his team, he looks forward to new collaborations and opportunities that will contribute to the success of our clients.
